Sphynx Hairless Cats in Clown Makeup – Series of AI Images

Please do not apply makeup to a real cat. This is just PRETEND. I used the Bing AI image generator to create these. They are for concept purposes only. The best examples from the AI session appear on this blog.

At first I wanted to see what the AI would come up with for a “Cat in Clown Makeup”. After the first batch of images, I decided that the hairless sphynx cat would look best as a clown.

Then I decided to ask the AI to create cartoon style images.

Isn’t he cute?

I hope you enjoyed these weird images!

“Felix The Cat (Theme)” by Ann Bennett – Original Uncut with Discarded Lyrics – Even A Spanish Version

What better way to celebrate Black Cat Appreciation Day then to take a look at our favorite cartoon cat. Felix The Cat has appeared in hundreds of animated features and is still a popular character today. I have a Felix clock on the wall behind my workspace. He’s over 100 years old you know.

Felix was born in 1919 but the theme song that we remember was recorded in the 50s and sung by Ann Bennett.

A longer version of the theme song was recorded around 1957-58 as part of an effort to repackage the old Felix films for television. The producers ended up cutting the song down to one verse and that is a version that we all remember. Who knew there was a slightly longer version of the song?

Apparently somebody was in possession of a test record of the original uncut version and it ended up on SoundCloud.

As it turns out she recorded a version in Spanish too! You can listen to the 30 second clip at the beginning of this soundcloud post. For some reason there is a piece of another song in there afterwards.

By now you must be in the mood to watch a few episodes of the cartoon. We’ll you are in luck. Here’s a playlist with over 100 clips.

By the way, the image at the top of this blog is the title screen for the Nintendo Entertainment Center game. The game was ignored by the public when it was first published but has since become a popular choice for retro-gamers. My friends and I have played it. It’s a fun “platform” game with great boss battles.

Cats -vs- Christmas Trees – Precious Fur Babies Capable of Malicious Destruction – The Worst Crime Scene Photos We Could Find

Unfortunately for humans, a Christmas Tree is irresistible to a cat. They are attracted to the wires, shiny ornaments, ribbons, garland, and the tree itself. To them this is a jungle gym playground designed for cats. They get to climb, chew, bat at things and stare blankly into reflective ornaments. They get to perch and hide. They simply love it.

Many folks believe that cats actually enjoy knocking things over and causing chaos. They seem to enjoy enacting destruction. This blog will not offer any advice on that subject. Here is the inevitable results in the battle between Christmas Tree and cat.

“Here Kitty Kitty” by Joe Exotic (The Clinton Johnson Band)

July 10 is National Kitten Day. Ogden Nash famously said, “The trouble with a kitten is that it eventually becomes a cat.

Two years ago we were all shut in watching Tiger King. Even I was sucked into a binge watch. at some point we were treated to this song and music video. I’m presenting it here ironically. It’s so bad that it’s good. It’s so wrong that it’s right.

Joe Exotic appears in the video but he is not the real singer. The Clinton Johnson Band were the true music performers. Exotic hired them. I find the whole thing rather amusing. Look at her feeding the tigers. Why is he dressed like a Spanish mission priest?

The idea that Carol Baskin killed her husband and fed him to tigers is preposterous to this writer. Obviously the husband took money that he hid from the IRS and went to Costa Rica to hump young women and live tax free. Carol may or may not be in on it. Somebody should send investigators to Costa Rica.

I am sorry to learn about the animal abuse and murder that occurred. This was NOT OK. Anyone that abused animals should be brought to justice. Just sayin’

“The Lovecats” by Melody Mendis (originally by The Cure)

Another Saturday, another Caturday. Here we have a lovely jazz-pop rendition of a gothic new wave hit for The Cure. I love this version by Melody Mendis and we play it all the time on FunHouse Radio.

The album that this song was released on is called Love & Madness. It features a number of great cover versions and is worth checking out. -WA
